Shurikens are used by [**Ninjas**](/wiki/ninja) to grant themselves the [Speedy](/wiki/status-effects#speedy) status effect for as long as they hold down the ability hotkey. While the ability key is held down, MP will be used at a rate of 10 MP/second. Upon release, they shoot a deadly shuriken (if they have enough MP remaining to fire it).During the "Speedy" status effect, Ninjas do not regenerate MP from their Wis stat, but can recover MP from MP potions and pets. **All Shurikens pass through obstacles.**
