###Location {#location} Water is one of the most common liquids, being found near the [shoreline](/wiki/shoreline), rivers, [oases](/wiki/landmarks-and-setpieces#oasis), [Grand Sphinxes](/wiki/landmarks-and-setpieces#grand-sphinx), [Ghost Ships](/wiki/landmarks-and-setpieces#ghost-ship), [Hermit Gods](/wiki/landmarks-and-setpieces#hermit-god), and [castles](/wiki/landmarks-and-setpieces). The [Pirate Cave](/wiki/pirate-cave) is the *only* non-seasonal dungeon in which water can be found. However, [Battle for the Nexus](/wiki/battle-for-the-nexus) does contain water. It's an incredibly rare dungeon, however. (Note that [Davy Jones' Locker](/wiki/davy-jones-locker), [Ocean Trench](/wiki/ocean-trench), and [Deadwater Docks](/wiki/deadwater-docks) do not contain the liquid, water.) Water is also in many variants of the [Nexus](/wiki/nexus), as well as in all versions of the [Vault](/wiki/vault) besides the winter version, in which ice appears instead.

Players take a break from fighting in the water in the ocean of a realm.

###Behavior {#behavior} Water is known for slowing players down, and this can be extremely annoying when battling the [Ghost Ship](/wiki/ghost-ship) or the [Hermit God](/wiki/hermit-god). Well, it is water! What do you expect? A good strategy at the [Ghost Ship](/wiki/ghost-ship) is to clear the surrounding area (go to the edge of the pool and off-center) to make sure no gods catch you slowed! Enemies are not affected by water. The Electric pet ability does not conduct through water Only the water on the shore of the ocean moves to make waves! You can sometimes see non-moving water in the ocean which is just the end of a river. [Back to top](#top)
