Arachna the Spider Queen is the boss of the Spider Den.

Arachna was once a beautiful maiden whose talent in weaving and crafts were unrivaled. Envious, Oryx had challenged her to weave a greater tapestry than he could. Oryx did not actually know the first thing about weaving, and transmogrified Arachna into a hideous spider in a poor attempt to hide this fact. |

Arachna is found in a large circular room at the end of the Spider Den. When first approached, she will throw out several invincible Arachna Elements which create a harmless web of slowing threads, with each Element being a “spoke” of the web. She will cycle through three attack types based on HP, the latter two of which may vary with each battle.
Arachna moves around the web, firing radial bursts of green bolts with an occasional bolt aimed at the nearest player. She will also periodically fire an aimed green star that deals significantly higher damage while inflicting Weak.
For this phase, Arachna will randomly choose one of the attacks below. For the duration of the phase, she will be throwing out eggs that spawn spider minions when destroyed.
Arachna orbits the room clockwise, firing rings of green bolts. She will periodically switch between three orbit distances, moving between the inner, middle, and outer layers of her web.
Arachna picks an Arachna Element at random and charges at it while leaving a trail of stationary spider shots that inflict Bleeding. Once she gets there, she will circle it while firing aimed green stars for a few seconds, before choosing a different spoke and repeating the process.
Arachna uses the attack she did not choose in Phase 2. She will no longer be throwing eggs, but the Arachna Elements will start attacking nearby players with targeted web stars that deal damage and inflict Slowed.

Arachna the Spider Queen is not a particularly difficult boss fight, although she can be intimidating to newer players. Her battle involves a biological slowing field that can make it hard to dodge her attacks, and teaches players the importance of managing their movement carefully around hazards.
Arachna’s web cannot damage you until the final phase, it merely applies the Slowed debuff when you touch it. It is possible to sit between the lines and avoid being slowed, but this heavily limits the room you have to dodge. Melee characters and other short-ranged classes will not be able to do this.
Arachna’s attacks are almost entirely radial, meaning they fire out in a ring from her position. Because of this, never sit on her unless you have enough DEF. She can put out a significant blow of damage if you do this.
Her most dangerous attack is a fast Venom Star that deals a very hefty amount of damage for how early she can be encountered, while also applying Weak for 5 seconds which can make it harder to damage her. Avoiding this requires constant focus on Arachna to spot when she fires it.
The hardest part of the fight is keeping within range to harm Arachna. She tends to move away from players constantly, however if she reaches a wall she will move back towards the web, which can give an opening for attack.
Farming Arachna is a good way to get mid-level gear which can set you up for the godlands, as well as for stockpiling Healing Ichors for emergency uses down the road.
Arachna can provide three UT items, unfortunately they are not very valuable due to them being rather weak.

There is a very small chance for Arachna to appear with her old sprite. This was kept in as an easter egg due to the sprite’s questionable quality gaining it much infamy as a meme within the RotMG community.
