Grave Caretaker

Last updated: Exalt Version 1.6.1.1 (June 2021)

The Grave Caretaker is the fourth boss of the Haunted Cemetery, appearing during the fifth round of the fourth level of the dungeon, the Haunted Cemetery Graves.

The Realm Eye says:
The Grave Caretaker is a humble servant of Skuld, guiding the souls of the forgotten to their final rest.
When a deceased spirit is deemed neither too good nor too evil to deserve any type of afterlife, they are led to an eternity of empty nothingness.

Behavior

The Grave Caretaker initially spawns at the top of the room and starts randomly moving along a designated grid. He will leave a trail of Armor Breaking stars behind him, and occasionally fire a ghost projectile that inflicts Petrify. While moving, he constantly spawns Forgotten Souls, which chase players before flashing and exploding into shots.

Upon reaching low HP, the boss becomes temporarily invulnerable and starts erratically wandering around. He will continue spawning Forgotten Souls, but will now alternate between firing single ghosts and pairs of Blinding stars.

Tips and Strategies

  • It’s always good to max your defense, otherwise, you’ll have to dodge the Forgotten Souls. They do very painful shotguns if they manage to explode on top of you.
  • He has very “jumpy” movement when chasing him, making him hard to hit. If you can Slow him, do so immediately after he spawns, to make the fight a lot easier.
