Pet Yard (Rev. 9)

Last updated: Release 12.1.0

The Pet Yard is a place to maintain and upgrade your pets which can be accessed via the pet portal in the nexus or vault. There are several components within the pet yard which each serve a unique purpose.

The Yard (Hatching and Following)

Once you have an Egg, you’re going to need to hatch it.

Conditions in the Realm are rather rough and much too treacherous for your beloved new Pet. Luckily, you have the Pet Yard! Wizards and Warriors alike have worked hard to carve out the safest places in the Nexus to raise your Pets. Now you can access this personal haven through a portal in your Vault.

As soon as you enter the Pet Yard, any Eggs in your Inventory will be available for hatching. Hatch your Egg by double-clicking or shift-clicking, and you will soon find your new companion wandering about!

Walk up to your new friend to Interact with it. When you are standing near your Pet, you can command it to Follow you, or if a Pet is already following you, command it to Unfollow you. The Pet Yard will hold all of the creatures you find in your adventures, however, you can only have one Pet follow you at a time. When you want to switch between Pets, simply walk up to the Pet you want and use the “Follow” command at the bottom right corner of your screen.

After you have commanded your Pet to “Follow” you, it will do so to the ends of the Realm, (wherever that may be...), using its Abilities to assist you on your adventures.

Feed Power

The feed power, as already mention, is the power an item has to power a pet. To power/feed the pet you must go to the Pet Yard, found in the Nexus or Vault, and use the computer to feed them. When you open the Feed Tab, a menu will appear in your screen. In one of the boxes you will have a pet (if you click the pet you can change what pet to feed) and in the other box will be blank. Drag one of your items into the empty box and click the Feed button! Feeding a pet will cost you either 10 fame or 5 Gold!

Unlocking Abilities: At the common level, the 1st ability is unlocked and its maxed stat cap is level 30. At the uncommon level, the 2nd ability is unlocked and the stat cap increases to level 50. At the rare level, the maxed stat cap is increased to level 70. Only then at the Legendary level is the 3rd ability unlocked and the maxed stat cap is increased to level 90. At the Divine level, the maxed stat cap is increased to level 100.

Fusing

Fuse 2 pets means that you are going to put the 2 pets together. In other words you will exchange 2 pets for 1 more powerfull and has either different appearance or has unlocked abilities. The cost of fusing depends on the level (you can check the chart at top of page). The fusing of pets is not recommended until you have maxed out the pet. For example if you have a common pet you must get his frist ability to level 30 (max). Why max? When the pet is maxed out it means it has better posibilites of having a more powerful pet.

Now to fuse a pet you must go to the Pet yard that is located at the Nexus or Vault. Then go to the computer and click the Fuse tab.
A menu will appear at your screen. This menu is composed of:

  • 1st Box (Left): Here you will select what pet you will like to fuse. Remember that the one on the left is the pet you will stay with, only if the pet doesn't changes appearance
  • 2nd Box (Right): Here you will select what pet you will like to fuse. Remember this pet will pass its stats to the other and disappear.
  • Fusion Strength: The fusion strength is how powerful your pet will become. The higher the better!

Yard Caretaker

The yard caretaker is the person in charge of taking care of your pets while you are gone. He won't feed them or upgrade them just protect them. He will also help you explain things about the Pet yard, so if you need more help I would recommend you to visit him. He is also in charge of the upgrading of the yard. By Upgrading your pets you can now have the ability to have more powerful pets as uncommon then rare and etc.

Upgrading Yard

You can upgrade your yard by talking with the Yard Caretaker, just mention above. He will help you upgrade it, but he will ask for an amount of money/fame. Depending on the level it will be the cost of it. The upgrading of the yard will let you have more leveled pets. For example, you can have a common pet at the beginning, but to have an uncommon pet you will have to upgrade it.

Your Loyal Pet!

While Oryx might have underestimated the strength of the human spirit when first summoning adventurers to his Realm, he certainly did not account for the critters hiding in the cracks and crevices of his domain. You brave adventurers have come a long way, establishing a safe haven in the Mad God’s Realm using only their wits, to train loyal companions to help take him down!

The time has come, heroes! No longer will the tiny creatures of the Realm run in fear of your vicious foes. Where they might have been the prey at one point, they now step up to play predator! Your loyal Pet will not let you down. Be glad they are on your side!
