The Pirate will chase the closest player it sees, firing a single shot towards them when they get close enough.
One of the easiest enemies in the entire game, pirates pose basically no threat to you even when you stand still. A group can be dangerous to someone with 0 DEF if they DO stand still, but anyone with even minor experience in realm should never succumb to these foes.
They are often killed by fresh characters for Health Potions and Tier 1 Weapon & Armor drops.
Prior to Patch X.32.4.1 (Jan 2020), the Pirate Cave did not drop from this enemy.
