Our Realm is on the verge of collapse. Failure to seal away this archaic evil has left us with two seemingly futile choices.

We mustn’t embrace the void. Condemn all who preach it. We are the hopeful ones, not them. A life lived within nothing isn’t a life at all. They seek to rid us of our agony and dread. This is accepting defeat. Their cause may be noble, but their methods are cowardly. We know better. It will be a perilous journey, for both you and I, but in the end we will truly live again. Our souls are dauntless, an everlasting fire that breeds hope and seeps ambition. Understand that one day we are certain to forget the roots of our war against one another, but our souls will know this undeniable truth.

I now stand below the gaze of our crippling shadows. You have valiantly perished years ago. I have continued to pursue our aspirations though. However, I’ve struggled to maintain my fragmented sanity up until this breathless moment. I am all that’s left of our terrorized kin. The unholy relic that I stand before pulses with every unsteady step I take. It knows. I can feel my very soul crumbling and converging, resonating and rising, beating and biting, seething and screaming. Yet, I hesitate before it. This atrocity. Our hope.

When you return to our Realm it will be up to you to cleanse it from me. Your efforts will be futile though. You will fail. My armies will reign over my Realm, leaving no one left alive. I’ll splatter your blood beneath my throne with every meager attempt you make. None shall see the day of peace that you have foolishly fought for. You have always been weak. That is why I am now forever immortal and you are food for my minions!
