The Abandoned Domain was once a very beautiful forest. Trees were lively, flowers bloomed, and creatures of all kinds were very harmonious with each other… until the day that the Vicious Burrower arrived, and brought a group of equally vicious reptiles with them.

They tore any semblance of animal life to shreds, and left the once beautiful forest to wilt and die while they scoured the land for any hope of food, as they’d drained their sources within the first week. Let’s hope that you’re not their next meal.

This is the Epic counterpart to the Snake Pit.

Activated by entering a Treasure Room. Will either fire continuous streams of shots at the nearest player, shotguns of 6 shots at the nearest player with predictive movement, or charge at the nearest player with 60 SPD while firing rings of 20 shots every half second until it reaches their position.

Every 10 or so seconds, will spawn one Massive Snake and one Massive Cobra without their reproductive abilities.

At 1/4 HP, all of its shots will be replaced with slower but more powerful versions that also inflict Dazed(shotgun) or Weak(stream) for 4 Seconds. Will also spawn 3 of each Kin every 2 seconds until it has reached 9 of each upon first hitting this HP.

At 1/50 HP, it will blink red and go invulnerable, before dashing at the nearest player with 30 SPD while firing its rings of 20 shots for around 30 seconds, before exploding and dropping its loot.

There are four of these scattered through the dungeon. You must kill them all in order to access the boss room, which means they are not an optional fight.

The Boss

Vicious%20Burrower

This boss is very tedious to kill. Rather than being like other bosses, where the focus is on simply hitting the boss, you must attack the Vicious Burrower from the tail up, meaning that you must kill the segment at the very back before you can kill the next one. Combined with its tricky movement and its sudden lunges at players, it can be a very infuriating boss if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Its movement will either be completely random, much like the Eye of the Dragon and all of its segments, or it will gun straight for one of the big holes that are in the ground. These are where it burrows, and a centered one is where it will first come out to fight you.

While it is above ground, it will not fire any shots, but will occasionally charge at any nearby player and deal around 200 contact damage, plus 50 for every segment that also hits the player, totaling up to around 450 if you stand still through all of it. Beware, as the burrower’s head will also inflict Sick for 7 Seconds!

At the same time, it will also produce less powerful versions of Massive King Cobras as its minions, and will have multiple spawners for Cobra Kin and Snake Kin that will not go away until the boss is killed. These spawners will have a spawn limit of 4 each, though there will be around 6-9 of them, so don’t let it overrun you!

Every so often, it will choose one of its three or so holes to burrow into, with a spacing of 0.33 seconds for each segment that also burrows with it, before popping its head out and firing large sprays of inaccurate but powerful shots at any player within 6 tiles, and will throw very powerful AoEs at players farther than 6 tiles away. Both the shots and the AoE will inflict Bleeding for 5 Seconds and Slowed for 3.

For each segment that is killed, burrowing will increase in speed by 0.33 seconds, and the movement speed of the Burrower will increase by 10. After all segments have been killed, the Burrower will act out in a frenzy, and will fire large shotguns in the direction it is charging in whilst it is charging, and will fire at 2x the speed it normally would when burrowed.

Upon death, all Cobra Kin, Snake Kin, and Massive King Cobras will die with it. The Cobra Kin and Snake Kin will not award XP, but the Massive King Cobras will. Loot can be obtained after, and the hole that was last burrowed into by the Burrower will become the Realm Portal.

This dagger is extremely strong, no doubt about it. Dealing damage higher than that of the Dirk of Cronus, and even inheriting the ability to ignore defense! Although, its biggest risk is the fact it has a lower range than that of the Etherite Dagger, and its loss of 2 Defense at the same time. This makes it not an all-around use dagger, and punishes those who don’t use it carefully.

Quiver of Pestilence
White Bag

Although small and lightweight, this quiver holds some of the most deadly weapons to exist. Its darts inflict catastrophic pain both inside and out.

This quiver is rather unique in what it does. While it paralyzes like all Tier 3+ quivers do, it does so for a much longer time than the others, matching Midnight Star in this regard. However, the biggest thing to note is the fact it does not pierce, just like Quiver of Thunder. This, in turn, makes it very effective against enemies that are not swarmed and will be easier to hit.

Along with its mana efficiency, this quiver also provides a very nice sum of Speed, allowing for quicker movement while not removing all of its Dexterity.

Mossy Leather Armor
White Bag

Despite clearly being stricken by age, this piece of unorthodox armor remains sturdy and protective. It seems to inhabit unusual properties, however.

Feed Power: 850

This piece of leather is more or less the actually usable version of Mantle of Skuld. It doesn’t remove too much Defense, and while it lacks Dexterity, it gives a very nice sum of Health and Mana to make up for it. This can make it a preferable alternative to Harlequin Armor, if you want to sacrifice some of your Mana and other stats for some Health.

Cyan Bag

Powers of an ancient tribe lay instilled within every inch of this ring. No amount of pain and suffering brings it satisfaction.

This ring is much like a more common, but less powerful, version of Ring of the Pyramid. It gives up its 4 Defense for 10 more HP, which isn’t the best tradeoff, but since it’s a Cyan bag drop, it’s more than worth it in the right situation.
