Itās a pretty solid list actually, lots of classics there
I took a look at everything on it and out of 167 Iāve: already watched 126, have 29 on my plan to watch list already and have 10 new anime to check out Iāve never heard of before (and donāt care to watch two of them)
Itās all worth the watch imo (besides those two anyway 
)

I got to watch it in theaters when it came out, and as both a rain and animation fetishist the movie was just visually stunning

I remember there being a lot of people having a problem with the āmessageā the movie was sending with the MC being unsacrificial and fucking over the world because hormones and allā¦ But honestly didnāt bother me, it was a pretty feel good ending so I was happy.
Itās not Shinkaiās best work, I do feel like it lacked a bit story/character-wise, but it did have a really good mix of SoL, drama and romance. Could definitely be something Iād rewatch every once in a while.

Yeah, itās not aaaall too in-depth in that departmant, I agree. Seeing how thereās not too much of a difference personalitywise between the start and the end of the film for the MC is a bit disappointing.
I think one review I read via Wikipedia sums it up quite well: itās a fine movie, but it had Your Name to live up to.
Still, I found it a really cool movie!
The soundtrack was pretty memorable as well. I still listen to it every so often.
