So several things
1- your character needs to be either 16X 16 , but preferably 8X8
WIS: 75
why are barbarians smart?

also new weapons is ehh, oh well. also you need to make all the teir weapons/abts

I’m pretty sure the character is small enough, also the class has a lot of downsides in stats so so the only good things to set it apart will be how you get more wisdom to help regain mana to use your ability. Barbarians don’t have to be dimwitted either, they could still be quite instinctive about their surroundings.

#4

classes that use new weapons are in the ideas to avoid list

#5

no its not

@xaklor @piggby

#6

character was drawn in a 9x12 area while fully extended in attack

#7

Ability is much to big. All sprites need to be 8x8

^^use this tool provided by rotmg Its great for creating high quality sprites and animations. Use 8x8 grid. If you can’t make a sprite in the 8x8 grid, it won’t be able to be implemented due to it being too large/too small. All sprites must be either 8x8 or 16x16 due to the structure of the game.

#9

Use this to get the sprite off of the website or just use http://www.piskelapp.com (not as easy to make animations but easier to get the sprite)

#10

Alrighty. First, all sprites of weapons, abilities, and unskinned classes need to be 8x8.

Second, the implementation of a club is overall a bad idea. Why make a new weapon just for one class when another one works just as well. It’s in the list of ideas to avoid. Also, why wouldn’t they use a sword? If they have enough knowledge in metallurgy to create gauntlets they should be using swords, the superior, simpler, and existing weapon aka swords. It’s like bringing a block of wood to a knife fight. The sword is simply a better weapon to be put on a barbarian.

Third, the max wisdom of the barbarian is a whopping 75. This is equal to the caliber of a maxed wizard. Barbarians are usually visualized as savages fueled on rage and brute force, not as intelligent as a wise wizard who has studied arcane spells and magic.

what the bloody hell is this? your club looks like a steak and your gauntlet looks like the end of a spatula, and NONE of your sprites fit within the 8x8 box that they should. even though the RotMG draw tool lets you make 16x16 sprites, DON’T DO IT. also, as many have pointed out, why does this have 75 wis and 385 mp? on a class that doesn’t even use a normal weapon no less.

and HOW does a melee class capable of inflicting paralyze sound like a good idea?! not even the Archer can inflict paralyze at T0-T2. between that and the fact that:

makes this obscenely overpowered, and not very pretty to look at. Piggby can probably do a better job at making a better sprite than myself, or at least giving you an example of one, but yet another flaw with this class is that we really really don’t need another melee class.

Just wondering, it would be a lot of life to max, and if the all the clubs have the same fire rate I dont think you need to add the fire rate. Just a thought, good idea though

#13

I did use the tool then I screenshotted the sprites

#14

Considering the difference between average Life and Mana and maxed Life and Mana, you’d need 50 Lifes and 30 Manas to max a Barbarian, which is insanely expensive. Every other class needs 19 Lifes on average to max Hp and either 12 or 19 Manas to max Mp.

Still, this looks like a fun class to play. Just try to avoid creating new weapons that only fit one single class, as Ninja has shown that’s just annoying (it decreases the chances of getting something you want out of a tiered drop and creates a type of weapon nobody really wants or bothers trading). Maybe the radius on Gauntlet needs to be reduced too, 6 tiles is pretty huge.

#15

i think 14 classes is enough but nice idea

#16

well in the classes section, there is just tons of fan made classes
