Bloodlust Reality Orb

A cursed dimensional orb with unimaginable powers and an unquenchable thirst for vengeance.

Tier: UT

MP Cost: 110

Cooldown: 2 sec

Effect: Spawns Blood Pillar (3 tiles away, direction of cursor), Stasis Blast (centered on cursor)

Stasis Duration: 2.5 sec + 0.5 sec per extra 40 MP (doesn’t use extra MP)

Pillar Duration: 4 sec

Stat Bonus: +4 WIS

Fame Bonus: 6%

Feed Power: 850

Drops From: Tormented Golem

Effect: Damaging to all
Range: 3 tiles (radius) / 6 tiles (diameter)

This is a diagram to help you understand how the ability works. No matter how far the cursor is from the player, the Blood Pillar will always spawn 3 tiles away from the character. However, it will be located towards the direction of the cursor. So if the cursor is at the left side, the Pillar will spawn 3 tiles away to the left. The Stasis Blast is, like said before, centered on the cursor.

Small Circle: Character
Large Circle: Stasis Blast
Triangle: Cursor
Square: Pillar

Although not the best item for rushing, this Orb is great for several uses, including stopping enemy flows when there’s too many. It allows the user to Stasis enemies far away to stop the flow of monsters while giving a team DPS boost to manage all of the enemies nearby.

Some dungeons where this item is very good at:

  • Undead Lair - During the Boss fight, the user can Stasis the enemies that Septavius spawns while quickly bringing the Boss down with the DPS boost.

  • Haunted Cemetery - Pretty much any time, but especially during the Boss fight where the minions that Skuld spawns gets out of hand. Stasis them and bring Skuld down.

  • Puppet Master’s Theater - Not as much, but Stasis and DPS boost are sometimes necessary.

  • Manor of Immortals - Stasis the bats, slaughter the enemies.

  • Mad Lab - Not as much, but Stasis and DPS boost are sometimes necessary.

Overall, an Orb that finds many scenarios where it shines. Due to its rather high-ish MP cost, putting it as a swap-out with a tiered Orb may be a good idea.

Lore

Created by the fusion of unknown substances, its unstoppable dimensional energy brings wrath and destruction to those in the user’s way. When wielded by gods, the cursed orb’s capabilities know no limits. Legends tell that it is fully capable of altering dimensions and rendering knew ones.

It is believed to be created somewhere around the time when the Tormented Golem was being experimented on. After each experiment, the Golem would be locked back into its cold stone chamber. This went on for three centuries, a painfully slow time. Even with his stone heart, the Tormented Golem felt pain and hatred. But deep within, before the experiments drove it mad, it was a clever and rather nice golem. It knew that if the hatred constantly built up on top of each other, the Realm could be at stake. So each century it was tortured, the Golem would put its hatred into an orb. After the three centuries, the Golem went mad and escaped its chamber with the cursed orb, which is why it drops it in battle when defeated.

The heroes brought the first of this orb into their world. The Realm was saved by the Golem’s decision of taking out its hatred on the orb, but it was also how hatred was brought into the mortal world.

Its actually quite interesting. like the idea of having the pointer far away to get rid of those eenmies and getting a boost against the current ones. As for enemies close by (mean its right beside you, its pretty obsolete most times making it pretty funy.

Whats the radius of the pillar, like how far does it effect? Also how long does it last?

I like it generally, other than the fact that this seems kinda like a team item like mseal and usually they already have paladin buff. But being a dps item is good, i would rather a berserk buff instead since berserk from warriors are generally low ranged.

Very interesting idea and decent sprite. 8/10

#4

it says

#5

so 3 is both the range and the radius?

okay got me confused.

#6

the pillar spawns 3 tiles away from the character and has a 3 tile radius so the effects hit the user

#7

okay, yeah i like that perfectness. It encourages players to not back up.

#8

What if there’s a wall 3 tiles away?

#9

Pretty cool idea.

How long does the totem last?

how long does the damaging the totem gives you last?

#10

I’ll add the time
