Buffer... Abilities? New class idea

Buffer Abilities (A.K.A. abilities that boosts another one)

HEY EVERYONE!

Just thought of something when I was checking out “Omni abilities/items”

That’s riiiight here:

It gave me a pretty interesting idea for a class.

It would be a class that buffs others such as the warrior, priest, and paladin does.

However, the buff is very VERY different.

Depending on the tiered ability you will get a specific buff for X amount of seconds (don’t know what this self-buff should be so talk about it below)

However, I was looking at the Idea of banners and their defensive/offensive capabilities in @BaraBlazer 's post of the Sentry class.

That’s right here:

However, along with the self-buff for yourself, you give your allies an even better advantage by buffing their abilities as well.

Here’s an example:
There’s a knight in my buff range and I buff the knight.
His shield now does a bit more dmg and the stun lasts longer.
The rouge gets more cloaking time.
Wizard more dmg.
etc.

The buff on allies would be named "empowered"
Giving empowered to allies would only last for one cast for balancing.
Giving empowered to the same class will have their self-buff last longer.
Empowered DOES NOT STACK.

What do you guys think? Is it too different from the game’s fundamentals of an ability?
What about the self-buff, and for how long?

I call that the wisMod, and a Wisdom buff. Check out my druid class idea! That one is focused around wisdom buffing and wisMods
