I know this goes against the rules, but I took time in making it and felt like posting it anyway, regardless if it could be entered or not. Here it is, my shitty poem dedicated to my main spriting inspiration, BLOODQWEN.

Pixels of Pain and Love

Pixel for pixel
Sprite for sprite
Your drawings leave me in awe at first sight
No matter what I do, you are always right
My sprites are plain crappy
And it leaves me with a fright…

Will I even sprite well?
Infact, can I ever?
I try so hard, but fail every time
My work, so horrible, it should be a crime

But you inspire me
Yes, that is why I keep going
That is why the pixels keep flowing
I won’t stop and I won’t surrender
Tis’ is why I will try and sprite forever

I will keep shading and changing
Until you approve
And once you finally do, I will know it is true

I no longer suck at spriting, HOORAY
I will be happy on that very day
But until then, I will practice and wait
Hoping to see that smile on your face
And then I will know that I’ve won
I’ve gotten my wish, my job is done
I’ve made a good sprite, and the process…
