A trick to avoid that:

You can just use the <k> tag for that. It counts as text, doesn't do anything, and suffices in the number of characters.

It’s also useful for other things, for example:

What do you hate in RotMG?

A # at the beginning of a line will largen the text written on that line.

example: #hello

#hello

to prevent this, you can add some pointless html stuff. I usually use <k> for this.
It doesn’t show and it disables automatic changes in your text.
