How to obtain The Machine Key?

I know The Machine Key was given to developers of the dungeon, but I just saw a normal player with one. He said he got it from a chest event, but forgot which one it was.

So does it currently drop right now or was it in one of the past event chests?

Might have been added to one of the Mystery Key pools.

I saw it in the area where you can buy keys at the nexus.
