One of the main principles of Rotmg in Wild Shadow’s development was to maintain a relatively low difference in a player’s in-game abilities from new players to seasoned players. This of course has gone away with the implementation of pet abilities and some high end dungeons and equipment, but the principle should still should be a maintained as much as possible (and it is good that it has been maintained mostly, otherwise).
Keep in mind rotmg takes a lot of players 3 - 6 months or longer to really get the feel for the game and how to play without dying, somewhat akin to learning skateboarding without crashing.
One simple way to make the game easier on newer and learning players would be to reintroduce stat potion drops to the lesser gods (highlands enemies) in the realm (at a much lower rate ~5% the gland rate). It’s a very subtle difference, but it may help new players. Once upon a time (nearly 10 years ago or so, WS build ~56), the lesser gods used to drop spd, att, and def at very low drop rates. This is actually where I first began maxing my first paladin way back then. Anyhow, it would be helpful to new players only, and wouldn’t disturb the “economy” much because that doesn’t really exist lol.
The specific enemies that used to drop pots and could have drops added to them are:

I think these guys did too, but I’m not 100% sure on these:

And drops could be added to these more recent mobs:
