Fun fact, each number is actually mutually exclusive, as if just an identifier for each person rather than a numeric scale, so the rng choosing 10 doesn’t mean it was close to choosing numbers we would normally consider near misses. Think of it like this - the way you view it is that it’s like if you threw a ball a random distance and measured it from your start point, then if it went 10 meters it is close to being 9 or 12 meters away, but this in actuality is like if you shuffled a bunch of numbered cards and drew a random one.

Not sure why I bothered to type this out, but I’ve heard people say they were close to winning prizes when in reality it’s not really that simple.
