Maximum amount of character slots?

I know there is a maximum amount of vault chests, but is there a maximum amount of character slots?

Shatter has like 50 of them so I doubt it

Afaik some people have like 400 due to an exploit

Now that makes me wonder who has the most character slots…ik geero has 100+ 8/8s on his main but wonder if there’s more.

There could be a hard limit of 999 or something but I’d never know.
