New Character Development[Gladiator Class Idea]

I present the gladiator, a character who thrives in combat viciously.
This dual wielder has two axes in combat in which he uses to take down foes.

Stats Maxed:
ATT :50 DEX:30 WIS: 40 DEF:20
VIT:75 HEALTH:700 MANA:0 SPD:50
Although his stats seem weak, his ability makes up for it. Having 0 Mana, the gladiator relies on his damage output and his damage intake to fuel his bloodlust ability. When the gladiator pot is full of blood his health doubles in which decreases with each hit permanently without being allowed to heal until he’s back to his maximum original hp. His bloodlust ability also increases his attack by +25, his defense by +8 , his spd by +8 and his Vit by +75 in which he reaches a total of 150 Vit making him heal rather quickly. Although this may seem overpowered, it only last for 10 seconds, in which the 150 vit can become useless if he’s not below his maximum hp. Now the cool down for this ability does exist making it only useable every 15 seconds and after those 15 seconds are over the gladiator has to take damage + do damage up to 1000% of his health including bonuses (7000 damage at maximum of 700). Although that may seem like a lot for a character with 30 dex the gladiator is a heavy armor dual wielder.

He shoots two shots in a straight line rather than split like a dblade.
For every 1 shot it does 30-50 damage . With two shots he is far ahead the sword class by ~ 10 dps(t1)

Although this may not seem useful as a dual weirder since the damage is relatively close , he also adds a bleeding effect of 1.5% of the enemy health every 1 seconds (Can increase by tier every 1 secs. Up to 7 secs max)
If an enemy has 10000 health that’s an extra 150 at level 1 pure damage plus his two attacks
If he has the T12 that’s an increase 6 secs allowing him to do 6% of the enemy health in 1 shot. That’s 600 extra damage (based of 10000 hp) + his two shots allowing him to easily reach his bloodlust form. Now the bleeding effect also has a cooldown of 7 seconds in which timing his abilities is key.
It also has a damage limit of 2000 so keep in mind when to use it on the right enemy.

The gladiator primary focus is on the boss. With a axe range of 3.0, he has to get very close to in order to take damage + put out damage output to fuel his bloodlust. With the bleeding effect on enemies, he can mow down enemies rather quickly.
Strengths: High damage, Great healing, decent def (28 at max w/bloodlust), amazing health.
Weaknesses: No CC but bleeding, Main priority is one target, no range must get close. High Risk character but high reward. Makes mana healing pets useless.

Dex stat too weak. You realize 30 dex is the same as a fucking unmaxed knight

Edited the title for clarity. Also, unless your entire post, images and all exceed 30.000 words, I suggest you put them into 1 post instead, and format them nicely. Things you might have tipped over for commonly avoided ideas; Creating a new weapon for a class.

Also, 150 vit is nothing with pets around, though it does add to their regen powers. This is very similar to the status effect healing, though. Probably makes it stackable, but I find it to be practically too similar with a pally, with an overpowering weapon.

Divine has 750 vit when maxed, as a point of reference. Basically you’re still getting 18 hp per second with 150, which is the same as a maxed common. All in all its pretty damn good

Hey, healing does 20/sec! It’s not 18/sec, but it’s very similar, and it stacks, so it’s potentially as strong, if not stronger since you’re not affected by sick. I agree, it adds up with pet healing, even if it seems dwarfed

This is just my OCD or something (I don’t even know), but I have this weird belief that every class ABSOLUTELY NEEDS an ability. Just a suggestion, but maybe you could add an ability and name it something like Net or Trident, because gladiators used those weapons.

This would be a very good idea. I think that he should be a little like another milestone such as 50 kills with ninja or level 10 with wizard or beat oryx or something,wouldn’t that be better?

Yes, you are quite correct. Every class does need an ability.

However, when you “invent” a class that “doesn’t need an ability”, it eliminates the entire issue of coming up with an original idea for the ability. Thus, it allows you to post the idea faster.

I’m actually surprised that the Gladiator doesn’t just use dual swords… I mean, he might as well, considering we don’t seem to even have stats/designs for the tiers of axes.
