Can we see current build scaling curves in this thread for comparison?

I was thinking the same. Easier to post here than Reddit, and easier to discuss long term without Reddit’s hyper-recent approach to everything.

The current approach is quadratic. The rate of HP increase starts off slow but increases with each added player. The formulae are given here. If you plot a quadratic you get a parabolic curve. Useful as you can then determine where HP per player is least, by drawing a tangent to the curve, like so:

This shows not only where the HP per player is least (x on that diagram) but how the curve closely matches the line around it, which means having a few more or a few less players than the optimal doesn’t make things much worse.

So it would be very useful to display the new approach in a similar way, with total HP against number of players, along with graphs for the current quadratic and previous linear graphs. I made the same point in a reply on Reddit, so hopefully they get round to adding something like this.

And it’s probably not worth trying to test this right now, as there’s just not the number of people going into a dungeon to see scaling in action. They need to greatly reduce the number of dungeons available at once, or even remove the portals and let people rely on keys.
