I used to play osu! when I first got into anime. I played a serious amount until end-of-highschool exams.
Never really got back into it, since you need to devote a shit-ton of time as well as maintaining a decent physical ability in order to keep on getting better at this rhythm game.

Well, it’s a game where minimizing input latency is really important, so just imagining trying to play it in browser hurts.
It’s worth the download tho, really fun game.

btw, hving multiple accounts is an bannable offence that can be taken off after minimum 1 year so you should delete any info about your old account anywhere or you might be suspicious :^)

I’ve known that multiple accounts is a bannable thing, however I have never understood the advantages of doing that in a game like osu!, plus I don’t even use my old account anymore. So what’s the harm? Years ago I just didn’t have my own means of paying online to change my name.

I’ve been playing offline mostly for the past year for the same reason I can’t play RotMG as much as I used to (no internet at home), most of the top plays I have on there currently are random plays from when I get to play online every other weekend.
I know the limits of my skill though, if you know anything about Osu! (and if you don’t you’ll probably be confused) you should be able to get an understanding of my skill better than looking at my rank
Tapping ability (mechanical keyboard, brown switches with black O rings):
My main style is single tapping
I can single tap stacked notes up to 285 BPM (9.5 taps per second), and single tap jumps up to 240 BPM
Do burst streams up to 230 BPM, and longer streams up to 180 BPM. I’m honestly really inconsistent with longer streams and will almost always fuck them up
My alt tapping is better than average, I can keep a combo on 300ish BPM alt tap maps but I’m a long way from being able to FC most of them.
Aiming ability:
I was a mouse player for 2 years, got a tablet and surpassed my mouse skill within 2 days. I mostly play with mouse because I’m more consistent with it, but switch to tablet when playing jumpier maps that I can’t aim with mouse.
I struggle to aim long jumps at higher BPMs (240+), so really high BPM 6+* maps. But with lower BPM I can do around 6.8* jumps
Reading ability:
I try to expose myself to as many patterns at possible, and luckily I enjoy playing difficult to read maps. (Low AR (EZ mod or just AR 4 and below)/Old mapping style). Because I play a lot of these kinds of maps I have a stronger understanding of the maps than most, which is why I consider this to be my strongest skill in osu!,
At the end of last year I started practising reading a lot of high AR with Mc Osu (a popular osu! clone with a lot of neat features), and found I’m reacting faster than 6 months ago when I started. I struggle but I’m capable of playing up to AR 10.5 which is like 350-400ish ms, and I can read AR 10 a lot easier than before so I’m playing with DT/HR a lot more these days.
I’m also pretty happy with what my HD reading ability is atm, I play with it maybe 1/4th of the time and while I’m not perfect with it you can barely notice the acc differences from a HD play and a non–HD play of mine.
