The Prophet possesses a unique passive, giving her a higher chance to get loot compared to other classes…
Every time Prophet qualifies for soulbound loot, an invisible dice is rolled, giving her a 1% chance to reroll her loot if a White Bag or Orange Bag was not dropped.
Assuming you succeed in proccing this 1% passive, you then have to reroll the loot table again.
It is not a 1% chance for an item to drop; it is a 1% chance to qualify for another chance at loot.

This can only happen once per kill.

Example:

  • You defeat Septavius the Ghost God.

  • You qualify for soulbound.

  • Your loot is image - imagex1, , etc.

  • After affirming that you did not get a White/Orange bag, your passive is now rolled.

  • Your passive successfully procs, rerolling the loot table. (This had a 1% chance of happening.)

From this point on, there are multiple possible scenarios.

Scenario 1 -

  • Nothing notable comes of the reroll. Your loot is unaffected, and the loot originally meant to drop is given to you.

Scenario 2 -

  • You successfully loot another Wisdom Potion. image
Your final loot is now image - imageimage x2

Scenario 3 -

  • You successfully loot a image Doom Bow!
Your final loot is now image - image, image x1

  • The Prophet is a support-oriented wand class whose ability is the Tintinnabulum.

  • She wears leather armor, making her the first wand class to not equip a robe.

  • Her max defense is the lowest in the game - a whole 10 points lower than the vast majority of the cast.

  • She depends on luck in order to function at her best.

However, what sets her apart from other classes is her saving grace;

The Tintinnabulum

t0tinti

A Tintinnabulum is a wind chime or assemblage of bells, said to ward off evil spirits and bring upon good fortune.

  • Buffs allies with luckybig Lucky.

(allied shots gain a low chance to mark an enemy. marked enemies will periodically take armor piercing damage. only applies to damage dealt from allies affected by luckyicon Lucky.)

  • Gives allies a flat speed increase.

(the purpose of this is to include at least 1 constant support function in her kit, so she isn’t 100% reliant on luck.)

Love the effort put into this, but I personally don’t like the idea of an RNG-based class. In my opinion, your character choice should never dictate your probability of obtaining “good” loot or marking an enemy. There are already so many aspects of the game that rely on random chance (mostly items and abilities with passive reactive abilities), which still toes the line. Many people aren’t fans of these things, so I imagine making a playable avatar with this sort of thing would result in some form of backlash from the community.

#3

Agree that abilities shouldn’t rely on rng - at least not as a baseline, but this doesn’t have anything to do with good loot when you read the description of the passive. But that being said, other classes don’t really have passives so it’s strange to give a new class one either.

#4

This is what I meant when I said the above.

#5

This is triggering my inner Neo-Grammar Nazi (NGN™) O.O

#6

i agree, having such a heavy rng based class, especially one that has an innate advantage others don’t have is a cracked idea. i still think it’d be fun to imagine this class in rotmg though

honestly i kind of overlooked the fact that the word prophetess existed lol

but i think prophet is a gender neutral word anyways despite having a feminine counterpart + honestly i just wanted the character to be a pixel waifu lol

#7

Don’t take it personally. I’m being a bit of a dork here =~=

#8

Hm, well this idea sounds good except there should not be a way to reroll what loot you get because then people would only want to play this class and nothing else.

#9

I’m definitely going to slap a UBDef for this class.

#10

thank you, and i totally understand this. i tried to balance it by giving it low attack and defense and making it wield the wand to sort of counteract this. sort of like “yeah u get more loot but that means u have to play this shit class lol”

that said - maybe i didn’t make it weak enough to compensate? or maybe it’s so op nothing can compensate for it at all? who knows

if this class is ever added into the game, ub def will prob triple in price LOL

#11

RN, usual/traditional price for UBDef is a Life. But could be little as a Def when some dudes are selling it as Feed Power.

#12

The only luck based I would think for a class would be like
Either like 2 choices when space is pressed.

Choice 1: Berserk

Choice 2: Damaging
Just an example

#13

i like that idea, and i agree it’s hard to balance luck based mechanics
