Puffin double/shift click

Is there any way for me to shift-click or double-click while I am using Puffin, so that I can drink potions without losing my Thirsty bonus?

I remember back when I was a blue star I tried dragging 2 def on the ground in the tutorial to drink, then I accidently lagged out right clicking ;(
