Ah, yes. Days late because that’s just the person that I am.
I know 2020 hasn’t been the greatest year we’ve experienced, but I’m sure we can turn a light on today, right? For those already on 1/1, uhhh…happy New Year! Without further ado, let’s get started on the second Realm Rewind of this forum. And if you spot any mistake, just let me know!
But first, thank you to the @moderators for keeping this forum an awesome place!
Game Rewind
I liked the idea from last year where updates were listed and separated into their respective months. We had quite a lot going on for the game this time, so here it is! Most of it is just a simplified version of the Release History.
January
- Removed all Oryxmas content.
- Aegis Armor, Squadron Sheathing, and Judge’s Robe have been added.
- Esben Ring and Esben Robe are now drop in Ice Cave
- The drop rate of Pirate Rum has been significantly increased.
- Overall damage nerf and better portal spawn chances for the Hive.
- The water in the Magic Woods now inflicts Healing and Hallucinating.
- All Magic Woods enemy damage values have been buffed by approximately x1.5 .
- A new miniboss for the UDL has been added – the Lair Spectral Skeleton.
- Slightly increased the chance of treasure room spawning in the Abyss of Demons.
- Treasure room coffins are now capable of dropping attack and the Tome of Purification.
- Added all missing puppet enemies (necromancer, huntress, ninja, and samurai).
- Dr. Terrible can no longer be damaged before activating.
- Unique portal sprites for the Crawling Depths and the Woodland Labryrinth.
- Moved the Book of Geb drop to Sarcophagi to encourage participation.
- Removed loot chests from the Shatters.
- Created new sprites and animations for Janus the Doorwarden and his keys.
- Pirate King Warrior, Mad God’s Messenger and Priest Horticultural Huntress now drop in dungeons.
- 3 new ST sets - Acidified Assassin, Magmatic Mystic, and Crystal Kunoichi.
- New ST Bonus Program - A STory of War II: a Ninja, a Mystic and an Assassin.
- New tokens known as Avarice Medallions have been implemented.
February
- Valentine’s Flower will spawn twice per Realm (after all Red Demons and Ghost Kings are killed).
- Major rework for Belladonna’s Garden.
- Added stat bonuses to the Valentine’s Archer ST set.
- Hearts and Love Letters are made tradable.
- New Valentine’s Day UTs – Perennial Cranium, Hanagasaku, Gem of Tenderness, Gem of Adoration

Treasurer Gemsbok

- Slightly modified Gemsbok’s base sprite and added several new animations.
- Buffed all gem bomb attacks substantially in damage and changed their status effects, with reduced radius.
- Phase 1 always uses four chains of shots instead of expanding each time and he will stay at each point longer, but will also explode into bolts with each teleportation.
- Added a brand new phase sequence at 70% to come between phase 1 and his shuffle phase, using colored-modified attacks at each wall and a periodic survival phase in the center, in addition to orbiting coins shooting inward from an outside rotation.
- Shuffle phase retains a combat threat with outside coins continuing to shoot during the shuffling sequence.
- Following phase has a longer time between volleys of gem bombs, with outside coins continuing to shoot inward.
- Final phase is less abrupt with its charging coin attacks.

Jack Frost spawn instruction!
- Collect Coal, Carrot, Top Hat and Snow Body by defeating Snowman Gods.
- Consuming the Snow Body will generate Jack Frost’s body somewhere in the Mountain region.
- Find the light blue dot on map to locate Jack Frost’s body.
- Consume the Coal, Carrot and Top Hat to bring Jack Frost to life.
- Based on the body parts used, Jack Frost will have different levels of difficulty.
- The higher the difficulty, the bigger the chance of dropping Oryxmas weapons.
