I recently purchased 2 more vault spaces and one disappeared. I had purchased both and placed my items inside before nexus-ing. When I had entered my vault again, the one I had placed my items in was locked again. I contacted support with this issue asking for a refund and the returning of my items. How long can I expect to wait for an answer? Also, has this been an issue before? Thank you.

The vault chests unlock the next one in a preprogrammed pattern chosen by the devs, not the one that we might try to choose. This has always been the way the unlocking works.
Have you tried walking around the whole vault to see if your items are in another location, this is how I believe it is supposed to work, the unlocked vault+items will be there, just somewhere else than where you expect.

I should have done that first. 
It ended up being on the opposite side of the map and not even on an outside row/column…weird.
