Should I fill up my character slots with 6/8s or max a few 8/8s?

Not with the competent discords (SBC has a max atk/dex requirement).

If you’re fine with MCH or pub halls, then 0/8s should be fine.
(although I dont know MCH’s policy on max chars)

I would say, make a whole lot of 1/8s. That way, when you die on one, you have 20 more waiting to also die.

having many 6/8s is better than 2 8/8s, you’ll have more characters to rebuild with if one dies.

Not only that, but when you’re farming pots to rebuild, having lots of 6/8s means you’ll always have the right tool for the job. (A pally for abysses, a rogue for sewers, etc…)
