probably a bit early considering i havenāt done a full vanilla expert mode run yet, but iām gonna start a mod playthrough.
thorium it is, because it actually has a developed wiki that i can obsess over.

from what iāve heard, calamity doesnāt have good multiplayer compatibility either. thorium on the other hand seems mostly bug-free.

yes it may be an exploit but i rather open crates than risk going underground mining, you dont even have a guaranteed chance of blessing the world with titanium which is way op.
