Every time I try maxing speed or dex I get sidetracked and die from something random and dumb

Then just focus on your goal. Try not to get sidetracked, except if this is something very interesting and up to your character level. Don’t go in end-game dungeons like tombs or shatters, just focus on getting a good character.

a good trick to get away from them without haveing them follow you again is to get in the green and run back with it
