#2150

If those are cranberries can you hmu cause craberries are FUCKING DELICIOUS

#2151

ok that makes sense, although it still makes me uncomfortable knowing there are lakes of algae right next to them

#2152

This is what we call ‘plants’

#2153

Algae is not a plant, it is mostly on the protist side

#2154

well they are photosynthetic soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

#2155

Protists can also be photosynthetic, as well as a good amount of bacteria
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

#2156

But we are generalizing them and they are quite similar
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

#2157

your generalization is like saying animals and plants are the same. protista is an entirely separate kingdom from plantae.

on second thought, you’re really just generalizing the protists and plants based on arbitrary similarities between certain species, so a more accurate analogy is saying animals are plants because mayflies grow in water as do mangroves.

and quite a few species of blooming algae are toxic, so i’d like to see you swim in that.

#2158

death threats be like

#2159

yikes.exe has crashed

@below here’s the /s you didn’t catch from his post

#2160

Chill, I was taking this from a not so smart man point of view
Second, calm the fuck down, we are assuming too much, who knows if the algae is toxic

#2161

Specific algaes are toxic (red algae to be exact, it is toxic in large amounts, which is referrer to as a redtide)
