This is Botkiller here, one of the previous admins at Tombs 24/7. This is my side of the story, explaining my actions and what went wrong.
How this situation came to be
First off, I want to comment on how this came to be in the first place. DudeLoveX made the Tombs 24/7 discord and invited a few people out to help. I was invited to join as a mod there by ToxicSeven.
I soon started noticing that DudeLoveX didn’t really seem to be taking my ideas into consideration. For example, he had a role called “Tomb Leader”. These people would lead a tomb group and host tombs for them (with the lifes from the mules). I assumed this would mean they had access to the mules and commented on it, as can be found in this screenshot. His response to this can also be found in the screenshot.
It was also hard to get a point across to him. It happened more than once that I explained my point of view with logical arguments and he just completely dismissed it without even responding to the points mentioned. I don’t have screenshots for the following part because I was kicked from the Tombs 24/7 discord.
One example of the paragraph above is our discussion about the Hoster role. DudeLoveX wanted to limit Hosters to hosting x tombs per week, and they have access to one tomb group. He wanted to do this so we didn’t run out of Lifes (a non-issue in my eyes, the discord is set up to run tombs after all). I raised concerns about how this would work if the hosters aren’t equally active (one tomb group would get more tombs than the other). I put forward ideas on how to prevent this (let hosters host for each tomb group (so they can spread out the tombs hosted) and warn them when we’re low on Lifes (so we don’t run out, something DudeLoveX saw as an issue). He then responded that this would make the Hoster role “op”, completely dismissing my entire argument. Once again, I don’t have screenshots of this as I was kicked from the server. I’m not sure if those chatlogs still exist, as he removed a certain amount of the messages sent by us when we left the discord. You’ll have to ask a current mod/admin there about that (should have been around last Saturday).
Me and Toxic were sharing these concerns with each other through discord DMs. This is (part of) my conversation with him about the specific situation above.
There were some other points which we found weird and unnecessary which he brought up. At some point DudeLoveX PMed me in-game, saying that having more mods would be better. I asked him why and he said “maybe we will find someone who is active and wants to help”. When I asked him “why do we need more mods though?” he responded with “I just told you”. Here’s part of that conversation and, as before, discord PMs between me and Toxic about it.
There were some other issues other mods had which I experienced less of, such as abruptly demanding help at random times. I did not encounter this myself because DudeLoveX knew I had done work on the bot. He felt as though he was the only one working on the server (which was in our eyes not true, I asked for input on the bot from other mods and admins multiple times, they also brought up ideas and opinions in the staff chat).
Around this point we decided to finally make the step to step away from the Tombs 24/7 discord (this was not just me and Toxic, but also other mods and admins). We first gave the possibility for a refund to one person (the only person who had a 2 week subscription on Tombs 24/7), because we figured he (being the only one with a >2 week subscription) might feel he’s being shafted if all mods and admins suddenly disappear, leaving the Owner alone in managing the server. After doing that, I posted a message in the staff channel, telling DudeLoveX about our decision. From here on out are a number of chat logs from that chat. I’ll just link the entire thing here. A short while after we made the first announcements, he took away our admin and moderator roles and gave us the role “traitors” instead.
As you can see in the chat logs above, in the first message I stated that I would give him the payment info in a DM. However, with the way he handled the situation, I decided against it, because he was completely dismissing the work the other mods and admins put into the server, saying that he did everything in the server (aside from the bot). He dismissed the discussion and ideas other admins and mods brought up, and did not even allow us to send a leaving message in #announcements giving the reason of why we left.
This was the message we were going to post, by the way. That was posted in the new discord we made. When he disallowed us to post it in #announcements, I decided to instead post the message in #general. He quickly removed my message and my rights to see the channel (followed by almost all other channels, ending with a kick).
Regarding what happened after we left the discord
Above was my view on what happened in the events up until us leaving the discord. Next up I’ll discuss the events that happened afterwards.
Let me first state that I was dead tired by that point, as before the events of yesterday, I had been awake for 36 hours, had slept 6 hours and had been awake for 14 more hours by then. I was trying to get the bot I wrote to send a DM to the people that had the Member role in the database, explaining why we left. Here is the message that we sent them. I had been busy making the bot send this PM since just after DudeLoveX denied my request to send a leaving message in #announcements (Started work on it at 4:37 PM CEST). Me being tired and focused on the bot led me to not notice most of the things that were being done in the meantime. It took me 2 hours to get the bot to send the message (and even then, I failed to notice that it missed a quite large part of the group). Here’s proof of that, by the way. During this time, I was less responsive to DMs on discord, and did not involve myself in the other events that happened. I had nothing to do with the spreadsheet being griefed and lifes being taken from the mules.
The spreadsheet becoming what it became was simply childish and uncalled for, I helped DudeLoveX get the spreadsheet back to normal shortly afterwards (note that this was while I was still working on the bot).
As for the lifes being taken, I did not want for that to happen. We refunded the one guy that had a 2 week subscription 1 week of his subscription (and took it away, so he had 1 week), I said this about it.
We then discussed about how we would get the new tomb discord started up, here’s my side of that (dashmeteor was memeing btw). I did not agree with the Lifes being taken from the mules, I did not touch the mules nor the spreadsheet since earlier that day when I was hosting tombs for the Tombs 24/7 discord. The last edit I made to the spreadsheet was done at the 20th at 8:42 AM (when I was opening tombs, once again a few hours before the shitstorm happened). This was the only edit I made, I changed a number from 9 to 0 (the amount of Lifes on that mule).
If you have any more questions, please comment in a PM on reddit, DM on discord, or a comment here.
EDIT: As for the events that happened after DudeLoveX got his mules back, I can’t comment as I went to sleep after that at around 7:40 PM CEST.
EDIT 2: For DudeLoveX, my sincerest apologies for the whole thing with the spreadsheet and the Life mules. That should have never happened.
