Will my fusion be maxxed if I fuse my pet with a maxxed hatched rare pet?

I have 70/70 rare pet right now and got a rare egg drop a while ago. Will this hatched rare egg be able to go to 70/70 and give a max legendary fusion? Or do I have to start at common

As long as both pets first skill are up to their max level there is going to be no problems at all. (The fusion should ALWAYS say MAXED so you can get the most out of the fusion)

Although at Rare level you wanna make sure that both first and second pet skills are level 70 each because levelling up those skills in Legendary/Divine are going to cost a much larger amount of fame per item fed.
