History
This item used to drop in a cyan bag before the addition of orange bags in Patch X.18.0 (Oct 2017).
This was released as a reskinned version of the Tier 6 Colossus Shield during Release 23 as one of the rewards for the Alchemist minigame. Its projectiles leave a trail of red particles instead of the regular purple. In release Patch X.32.7.0 (Feb 2020), all tier 6 ability items, including the Colossus Shield, were changed to provide +20 HP and MP instead of +2 WIS and VIT, however the Onyx Shield was unaffected, being a defunct item. As such, this item is no longer technically a reskin.
As of Patch X.31.0.0 (Oct 2018), this item no longer drops, having been replaced with the Champion’s Bastion.
