Notes
This skull has the unique ability of slowing its targets temporarily, giving the Necromancer some extra utility and making it very useful in many situations, such as when there are many fast-moving enemies and you need the breathing room. However, it only slows for 2.5 seconds, so it is nearly impossible to keep enemies permanently slowed with this skull alone (lest you have close to a maxed Magic Heal pet).
It has a fairly small radius (the same as the Heartstealer Skull) and does a bit less damage than the Lifedrinker Skull. The skull also costs the same as the latter, and the +4 attack bonus usually outweighs the -3 Speed debuff, even for a slower class like the Necromancer. However, keep in mind that it does also give 30 fewer HP compared to the aforementioned Lifedrinker Skull, making the Necromancer squishier than most other options.
Nevertheless, the skull can be safely used as a main. It is one of the more common white bag items, so can be relatively easily replaced. If you truly don’t have any use of it, it becomes nice pet food, bringing 800 feed power to whichever pet you want to feed it to.
The -3 SPD stat bonus for the skull is mirrored by the +3 SPD bonus of the Staff of Esben.
History

This skull still seems to contain some of the Dark Spirit’s power.
Before Exalt Version 1.5.0.0 (May 2021), this item had the following sprite:
Before Exalt Version 2.0.0.0 (Aug 2021), this item was soulbound.
Before Exalt Version 3.3.5.0 (Mar 2023), this item dealt 160 damage and had 3.2 damage scaling.
