Agonized Titan

The Agonized Titan is a secret boss that is found in the Lost Halls.

The earliest version of the Marble Colossus. Due to minimal power and immense fearfulness, it was locked away and forgotten.- Original Description

The Realm Eye says:
The Agonized Titan was the first of many iterations of the Marble Colossus. It endured tremendous pain throughout countless inhumane experiments.
A number of major flaws with the soul infusion process rendered it weak and cowardly, so it was recycled as a test dummy for other experimental magic techniques.
Forcing additional souls into a body which already possesses a living soul is considered highly taboo, as it inflicts intense pain upon the spirit within.

Behavior

The Agonized Titan is found in a square room within the Lost Halls, completely dormant and invulnerable. A locked portal to the Cultist Hideout is found behind it.

To activate the Titan, players must locate 5 small pink flames within special rooms in the Dungeon identified by a large number of Treasure Pots. Each of these rooms will have 1 of the flames, and a number of Evil Spirits that will attack players. These flames are passive and will teleport to the Titan’s room upon being found. After 5 are placed there, the Titan will absorb them, announcing “I…” throughout the dungeon. Players then have about 45 seconds before he will state “I will not let you release this calamity upon the world!” and begin to attack.

During combat, the Titan fires fast rings of various shots, a number of them doing no damage and inflicting various status effects. The grey Colossal Bullets on the other hand inflict heavy damage but no effects.

Once it reaches about 1/3 of its HP, it will begin spawning large groups of Evil Spirits from itself. While it seems to have a limit on how many it can keep out at once, it will almost instantly respawn them once they die.

When destroyed, the portal to the Cultist Hideout will unlock and players can enter.

Tips and Strategies

The Agonized Titan himself is not that much of a threat. Do not mistake him for harmless however: his shots are fast, hurt a lot, and are somewhat hard to avoid in the small room.

It is imperative to kill his summoned minions ASAP - their Petrifying bullets can leave you open to a fatal hammering from the Titan itself.

Note that while you can fight the Agonized Titan before the Marble Colossus, you cannot do it the other way around as the Marble Colossus’ room seals after it is activated.
