Notes
While it may look bad at first sight, having less average damage than a T4 Destruction Sphere Spell, this spell has the property of ignoring the defense of the target, making it very effective on high-defense enemies such as golems in the Lost Halls or endgame bosses such as the Void Entity or Oryx 3. Against enemies with 37 or more Defense this spell has a higher average damage than the T6 Elemental Detonation Spell. The spell also gives a small SPD bonus and a decent VIT bonus, which help the Wizard’s mobility and durability.

However, like tiered spells it is very difficult to land all of the shots on enemies, so a more consistent spell like the Recurring Terror Spell may be considered.

History
The item was originally named Ancient Spell: Pierce. It was added in Patch X.31.9.0 (Aug 2019) as a soulbound version of the previously existing item with that name, which was renamed to Legacy Ancient Spell: Pierce.

Before Patch X.33.1.0 (May 2020), this item had a Feed Power of 500.

The item was renamed to Ancient Spell in Patch X.34.2.1 (July 2020).

Before Exalt Version 1.5.0.0 (May 2021), this item had a damage of 53-115 and no stat bonuses.

In Exalt Version 2.0.2.0 (Aug 2021), all Ancient Spells were replaced by Ancient Eminences for the release of the new Twilight Archmage Set.
