Note:
During an accidental release in build 11, a similar weapon called the Celestial Blade was dropped by the previous version of the black dragon named Thanatos. It was modified to become the Annoying Firecracker Katana for unknown reasons, while the stats and name are the only differences between the two.
It out-damaged the Doku no Ken at only <5 def (and does not pierce enemies) so it was mostly useless. Players had to get extremely close to the mob (almost identical to shield stun range), and the heavily lowered damage output as well as the probable spread of the 3 shots made this a weapon as potentially effective to use against armor-broken loot chests; however, other than that, most considered this weapon as a souvenir, as it was impractical to use in most situations.
In Release 27.7.X10.3, the weapon was renamed to Sullen Blade and its damage heavily increased, as well as a small buff to the katana’s range.
