Many speculate that Archdemon Malphas was the one who smithed and gave Oryx his heavy black armor and sword. Because of this true feat of Malphas's, he became one of Oryx's most trusted generals and rose to power in the Abyss.

Ruler of the Abyss of Demons. As many as 6 White Demons appear in the room with Malphas (not summons). Malphas changes size, and like other dungeon bosses, he cycles through attack stages. He periodically goes invulnerable and maintains 4 protectors that orbit him rapidly throughout all his stages.
Battle Phases:
Phase 1:
Malphas is medium in size and summons several Malphas Missiles, traps that follow you and explode when they get close or when damaged enough.
Phase 2:
Malphas is small and difficult to hit. He moves rapidly and randomly while firing small white bullets and silver shields that weaken you. Long range fighters should be cautious of his orbiting summons, Malphas Protectors, which are more difficult to avoid in this stage. He is vulnerable during the whole phase.
Phase 3:
Malphas is large and shoots several large white bullets that deal heavy damage. He also shoots several large silver shields that weaken you.
Phase 4:
Malphas is medium in size and summons 6(?) Malphas Flamers, Abyss versions of flamer-king They explode before his next stage begins. The cycle then repeats

You can get in a LOT of damage if you clear all the white demons in the boss room without stepping over the dark red grating (so as to not activate the boss) and then attacking the boss and focusing all your firepower on the boss, because he turns vulnerable for several seconds during his first phase.
