Archived Equipment (Rev. 23)

The equipment found here cannot be obtained through normal means anymore. They have either been replaced with something that can be considered completely different or taken entirely out of the game code.

Mithril Sword
Mithril Sword
The Mithril Sword was possibly introduced in Build 54 of the Wild Shadow Era. As the original T11 sword, it was mistakenly given a range of 6.4 tiles. In Build 111 of the Wild Shadow Era, it no longer dropped from enemies; the Skysplitter Sword replaced it as the Tier 11 sword. In Build 117, it was removed from the game and replaced with the Crystal Sword. Mithril Swords became Crystal Swords in Build 117.1 because the Mithril Sword’s code was replaced with that of the Crystal Sword.
Amulet of Resurrection
Amulet of Resurrection
The Amulet of Resurrection was introduced in Build 117 of the Wild Shadow Era. It could be bought in the Nexus for 20,000 fame. In build 118.7, its price was lowered to 11,500 fame. In Release 4.0 of the Kabam Era, it became the Cursed Amulet of Resurrection and its price was lowered again to 1,000 Fame.
Cursed Amulet of Resurrection
Cursed Amulet of Resurrection
The Cursed Amulet of Resurrection was introduced in Release 4.0 of the Kabam Era. It was soulbound and could be bought in the Nexus for 1,000 fame. While similar to the Amulet of Resurrection, it had an undisclosed percent chance of failing to resurrect a character and creating a zombified character instead. The general consesus seemed to be that while initially the rate of failure was low, it increased as time went on. By Release 5, it was confirmed to always fail, and in Release 6, it was changed to the Cursed Amulet of Zombification.
Cursed Amulet of Zombification
Cursed Amulet of Zombification
This item initially dropped from white bags from any boss in the Haunted Cemetery, and had a guaranteed zombification rate. Later, it dropped from cyan bags instead. In Release 27.7.6, due to exploits involving this item, it was changed to disappear from players’ inventories to prevent its abuse. While it still dropped and players could pick it up, the item disappeared upon entering a portal or returning to the nexus. In Release 27.7.X7, the item was re-released as the Amulet of Dispersion, which had no other special effects.
Celestial Blade
Sullen Blade
In Release 11 of the Kabam Era, the Lair of Draconis was accidentally released. The Celestial Blade was one of the items that dropped in the dungeon. The katana had high damage, lacked piercing, had an amplitude of 1 tile, and a frequency of 0.2 cycles. In a Release 12 duping hotfix, it was replaced with the Useless Katana. When the Lair of Draconis was completed and released, the item was released as the Annoying Firecracker Katana and heavily nerfed. In Patch X.31.8.0, the Celestial Blade was brought back, and replaced the Sullen Blade.
Annoying Firecracker Katana
Annoying Firecracker Katana
This item replaced the Celestial Blade when the Lair of Draconis was completed and released, and dropped from Feargus the Obsidian Dragon or Feargus the Demented. Unlike the Celestial Blade, the Annoying Firecracker Katana fires 3 projectiles but it had significantly lower damage and a short true range, making the item very impractical in most situations. In Patch X10.3, the item was renamed to the Sullen Blade and heavily buffed to make it more viable.
Ring Pop
Ring Pop
In Release 17.4 of the Kabam Era, the Ring Pop was renamed to the Candy Ring. No reasoning was given regarding this decision, but it was speculated to have changed due to copyright reasons.
