Armored Squirrels will attempt to maintain close distance to players while firing pairs of blade shots in a V-shape.
Armored Squirrels do not behave much differently than other simple melee-capable monsters. They will charge towards you and try to attack you with short-ranged blade attacks. They are more dangerous than Forest Goblins, however, as they fire two shots in a tight V-arc which essentially doubles the damage.
Due to their fragility, you can often kill them before they get close. Simply back away or circle them while firing and they should die quickly.
Avoid standing still if you are low level and have little or no DEF. Several of them can rack up damage quickly.
