Behavior

The Blob Colony cannot move. It will stay in the middle of a room while periodically firing red bombs at the nearest player. Initially it is invincible, and will become invincible again at about half health. To bypass this, players must roll the naturally spawning barrels found in the dungeon at this enemy.

The main threat that these colonies have are the various Parasitic Blobs and Parasitic Blob Guardians they spawn, which inflict the Sick debuff and deal moderate damage. They orbit around the colony and spawn pretty often, making it harder to hit the spawner. They shoot in bursts, meaning that an attack is difficult from all angles.

Tips and strategies

The Blob Colony may prove difficult to destroy. Melee classes will arguably suffer the most, as to get close they may have to tank the Parasitic Blob orbital shotgun, which, although it may not prove as a threat in terms of damage, inflicts the Sick debuff.

Dodging may be a problem for most other classes as well. If you stand still while fighting the enemy, you won’t get hit by the Parasitic Blobs, but you will be hit by the colony.
Remember: the health scales with the people in the dungeon, so the fight may take longer with more people.
