Notes
This armor gives an underwhelming amount of DEF but makes up for it with an enormous HP bonus. The Defense bonus is halfway between a T7 and T8 Heavy Armor, and the HP bonus is halfway between a tier 5 and tier 6 HP ring.
It is highly effective on Knights as they can sacrifice some of their DEF for additional HP. Warrior (and sometimes Paladin) may not find as much use in this armor as the Knight since they do not have enough DEF to sacrifice for it. The defense-for-HP tradeoff is most effective in scenarios where you are taking few, large shots where HP matters far more than defense. Therefore this armor is useful for Paladin and Warrior in endgame dungeons where that is the case, however, this is essentially a direct upgrade of the Candy-Coated Armor, as the HP tradeoff is more effective in almost every situation besides the Godlands, and you also no longer suffer the dex penalty that the Candy-Coated carries with it. It is also important to note that this armor is highly effective in dungeons with Armor Piercing Shots and/or frequent Armor Breaking, as only 14 defense is lost but the 160 HP boost from the armor still remains, where a normal tiered armor would be rendered useless by the effect.
History
Before Patch X.32.7.0 (Feb 2020), this item had a stat bonus of +160 HP, +12 DEF.
Trivia
This is currently one of the two Heavy Armors that has a 7% XP bonus, sharing this fame bonus with Dominion Armor.
