Notes
This armor gives an underwhelming amount of DEF but makes up for it with an enormous HP bonus. The Defense bonus is halfway between a T7 and T8 Heavy Armor, and the HP bonus is halfway between a tier 5 and tier 6 HP ring.

It is highly effective on Knights, as they can sacrifice some of their DEF for additional HP. Other heavy armor classes may not find as much use in this armor due to their lesser defense, and are more liable to get In Combat while wearing it.

The defense-for-HP tradeoff is most effective in scenarios where you are taking few, large shots where HP matters far more than defense; being highly effective in dungeons with Armor Piercing Shots and/or frequent Armor Breaking. Even in oridinary situations, the Breastplate can compete with tiered armors and even the Candy-Coated armor in terms of sheer survivability.

It synergizes well with most of the Marble Paladin set. This armor negates the Magical Lodestone’s lack of HP, while the Lodestone gives back some DEF and is one of the best DPS rings available. The Marble Seal gives +5 DEF, giving even more with the Armored buff. However, MSeal also drops the HP boost that tiered seals give, meaning its probably best to not wear all three at once.

History
Before Patch X.32.7.0 (Feb 2020), this item had a stat bonus of +160 HP, +12 DEF.

Trivia
This is currently one of the two Heavy Armors that has a 7% XP bonus, sharing this fame bonus with Dominion Armor.
