This almighty shield was specially designed to protect its owner from a bombardment of attacks in all directions. Although feared today, it once stood as a reminder of Oryx’s glory in an era long forgotten.

A peculiar shield that deals more damage than any other except the Brutal Buckler, and at a lower MP cost than any other, but at a significant cost. In addition to having decreased range & a halved Stun duration (compared to tiered shields), the shield provides NO Def bonus on its own. Upon use, it grants +15 DEF for a short 2.5 seconds. Because of the short stun duration, it is impossible to permastun with this shield (though you CAN keep the Def buff permanently active if you have a Pet with a nearly maxed Magic Heal level).

It is not recommended to use this shield as a standalone item, but as part of the Knight ST set instead, since equipping at least three of the set pieces will grant you a permanent +15 DEF bonus.
