This staff possesses the highest damage per shot of any staff and the unique property of ignoring its target’s defense, at the cost of a massively reduced rate of fire. As such, it is most useful in situations where you would need to pack a lot of damage into single shots, or against enemies with very high DEF or the tendency to Armor themselves.

Note that this staff has a lengthened range of 9 - tied with the Staff of the Crystal Serpent - making it a fine choice if you need extended range to snipe a boss from the range of a Wand user. This staff also outdamages Staff of the Cosmic Whole at 38 defense and Staff of the Vital Unity at 43 defense.
