Tips and Strategies
Although they seem dangerous at first, any character with decent HP can easily tank this guy exploding on top of you. They do slow, however, so you should still make an effort to avoid them as much as possible.
These enemies spawn in huge amounts, build up quickly, and have a tendency to block shots intended for the boss. Piercing weapons are recommended to take them out before they become too much of a nuisance.
