When used, spawns Cupid, who speaks “Happy Holidays!” in the chat, and follows the player in the manner of a pet for 30 seconds before disappearing.
During Christmas/Yuletide events a temporary stat boost is conferred on the player whenever the Reins item is used. The item can be used at other times of year but it will not provide any stat increases.
The level of boost is equivalent to a T3 Ring of Superior Magic. This can be useful for most classes in a short fight scenario, for example versus a dungeon boss, by allowing the player an additional activation of their ability item.
Introduced in Patch X.20.0 (December 2017) along with the other Santa’s Reins Companions.
