When used, spawns Dasher, who speaks “Happy Holidays!” in the chat, and follows the player in the manner of a pet for 30 seconds before disappearing.
During Christmas/Yuletide events a temporary stat boost is conferred on the player whenever the Reins item is used. The item can be used at other times of year but it will not provide any stat increases.
The level of boost from Dasher’s Reins is equivalent to the SPD increase given from wearing the Candy Ring. This can be useful for most classes when wanting to rush through dungeons or the realm.
Introduced in Patch X.20.0 (December 2017) along with the other Santa’s Reins Companions.
