Behavior

Death Morels are spawned in set locations around the map by the Worm Father. When spawning, they cannot attack or be damaged.
Additionally, the Worm Father will stay Invulnerable until the first two Death Morels are killed. The second wave is optionally killable and will despawn when the Worm Father is defeated.

In combat, they remain stationary while firing dense rings of armor-piercing yellow bullets.

Once the Worm Father dies, they will instantly despawn.

Tips and Strategies

Keep a keen eye out for these enemies, as though stationary, they quickly fill the field with bullets. Sitting on one guarantees instant death!

Fortunately, they spawn in set locations; directly east and west of the Worm Father the first time (when they must be killed to progress the fight), and around southwest, northwest, and east again of it the second time.

However, since they are not Stun Immune, Knights can completely prevent their attacks from being fired off - they can even be stunned while rising from the ground.

They are also vulnerable to Stasis, meaning Mystics can shut down their firepower the second time they spawn to easily finish the Worm Father off before they even have a chance to shoot (they will disappear even if Stasised). Note that it is important not to Stasis the first time they spawn as those Morels must be killed to progress, unlike the second time.

If all else fails, with enough DPS focused at the Father plus a Knight to stun it or the Morels to kill the Father quickly, they will disappear before causing too much havoc.

In the absence of Stuns or Stasis, however, clearing them from a distance is a safe way to dispatch them.
