Exaltation is a gameplay mechanic that serves as an additional, long-term means of progression beyond maxing all stats for a character, serving to provide benefits that last beyond death. This mechanic was first described in the June 24, 2020 Producer’s Letter, and introduced in Exalt Version 184.108.40.206 (Sep 2020).
Progress on Exaltation can be accessed through the respective panel next to the stats menu.
If the player is currently using an 8/8 maxed character, completing endgame dungeons (those in the Epic Quest Chest pool and Oryx’s Sanctuary) with individual classes will provide permanent stat increases for all characters of that class. Each “stat exaltation” is tied to a specific dungeon:
This system grants completion of a dungeon when the boss is killed on an 8/8 character, assuming you dealt damage to the boss. The player will receive permanent stat boosts upon completing 5/10/15/20/25 of one of the required dungeons (each milestone granting +1 to that stat, or +5 to Life/Mana), for a maximum of +5 to all stats (+25 for Life/Mana). Unlike regular stat boosts, Exaltations are permanent for that class and cannot be lost, meaning that once a stat boost has been achieved, every future instance of that class will also have the stat boost.
These are special milestones granted for gaining enough stat exaltations on certain classes. Like regular Exaltations, they are not lost on death and carry over between characters. They are sorted into several categories, which will be explained below:
These are achieved by completing a certain number of stat exaltations on one class. Completing these grants permanently increased XP/Fame gain on that class. Every 8 stat exaltations obtained on a class will boost their XP gain by 5%, up to a maximum of 20% at 32 stat exaltations.
These are achieved by gaining stat exaltations for every stat on one class. Completing these grants permanently increased damage dealt by that class. Every time a class gains an exaltation for every stat increases their damage by 2.5%, up to a maximum of 10% if the class has gotten at least 4 stat exaltations on every stat.
These are achieved by gaining stat exaltations for every stat on classes using the same armor type (Robe/Leather/Heavy). Completing these grants a permanent reduction to time spent in combat by classes of that armor type (see Vital Combat). Every time all classes using an armor type get an exaltation on all stats, they will reduce the in-combat timer by 0.2 seconds, up to 1 second if every class using that armor type has gotten 5 exaltations on all stats (meaning all their stats have been fully maximized).
These are achieved by gaining stat exaltations for every stat on classes using the same weapon type (Sword/Staff/Wand/Bow/Dagger/Katana). Completing these grants a permanent increase to loot drop chance by classes of that weapon type. Every time all classes using a weapon type get an exaltation on all stats, they will gain 5% increased drop rates, up to 25% increased rates if every class using that weapon type has gotten 5 exaltations on all stats (meaning all their stats have been fully maximized).
Various other rewards are also available if certain milestones are completed.
Fully exalting a class (meaning 5 stat exaltations on each stat totalling to 40 exaltations, or 75 of each dungeon in the pool completed) will grant the player an Exalted Class Skin for that class, which cannot be obtained by any other means. In addition, the statue of that class in the Vault will permanently turn golden.

Achieving a certain number of stat exaltations across all classes will grant additional rewards handed out at certain milestones. Like the Exalted Class Skins, these cannot be obtained by any other means.
