The Horticultural Huntress Set was the twentieth special themed set to be released. It is the 2nd ST set for Huntress after the Swarming Huntress Set.
In addition to the stat bonuses it provides, this set’s bow swaps out piercing enemies for piercing armour, firing a single shot at 90% rate of fire with a range of 8. The armour has a reactive proc, giving a 10% chance to gain DEX boost (+10 DEX) for 5 seconds upon taking damage. The trap deals no damage, but instead grants Healing and Berserk to the party.
A huntress with WC tops and a Ring of the Pyramid would have 820 HP, 272 MP, 84 ATT, 46 DEF, 50 SPD, 55 DEX, 40 VIT, 50 WIS, making for a DPS of 2562-1434 (0-60 DEF), assuming all shots hit. Instead, this set has a DPS of 2778, or up to 3820 taking into account the 2 buffs of this set, regardless of defense. While this is indeed a staggering improvement, especially considering that the true range of the bow is 8, keep in mind that these shots do not pierce enemies, making it very impractical to clear crowds or damage bosses that summon minions. Furthermore, the huntress loses a significant 12 DEF and 20 HP compared to a mundane one, decreasing her survivability. This problem is countered by two things: her true range is much greater and she benefits from an extra 150 MP to grant herself Healing to mitigate incoming damage. This set is in summary a major upgrade on a classic huntress, provided you can stomach the complete loss of crowd control this class usually offers.
